Our Primary School
Shaping Minds in Two Languages

Nestled in the charming district of Alt-Bogenhausen alongside the English Garden, Primary School at Phorms Munich offers your child the opportunity to learn in both German and English. In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, our students develop not only a strong academic foundation but also curiosity, empathy, and persistence.

A Caring Start to a Bright Future

At our modern and centrally-located campus, we foster an inspiring environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Through our bilingual concept and immersive hands-on approach, we accompany curious explorers on their journey, nurturing not only language skills, but also  creativity, joy, and connection. For a future that opens every door - worldwide."

Why Parents Choose Phorms Primary School

1

At Home in Two Languages

With two teachers in every class, we ensure that each child receives the attention and support they need to find their feet in a bilingual school environment. Both German and English are used equally as everyday languages.

2

All-day Community

Our campus is more than just a place for learning. It is a space for discovery, experience, and connection. From 8.00 am to 6.30 pm, it is open to our students, offering an inspiring environment where knowledge grows, and community is strengthened every day.

3

Joyful Learning

Our passionate and highly qualified teachers ensure that children enjoy coming to Phorms every day. With innovative and diverse teaching methods and a focus on differentiated learning, we create an individualised and inspiring environment that sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and nurtures a lifelong love of learning.

4

Bavarian Curriculum

We are a German-English educational institution teaching according to the Bavarian Lehrplan Plus, while also drawing on selected international curricula such as Cambridge Primary. Our primary school is state-recognised and an accredited Cambridge International School.

5

Interwoven Learning

Thanks to our low student-to-teacher ratio and a close-knit faculty, there is plenty of room for cross-curricular, cross-classroom teamwork and projects. Students learn to take initiative while working collaboratively.

6

Enrichment and Extension

Through additional learning opportunities, students are encouraged to explore scientific and mathematical phenomena in greater depth.  Within all year groups, selected students participate in special interdisciplinary projects and extracurricular competitions.

Frequently Asked Questions
and Our Answers

  • At what age can children join Phorms Primary School?

Children who reach the age of six by the 30th of September may begin Year 1.

  • How many students are in a class?

The target size of our primary school classes is 23 children per class. The actual class size may be adjusted depending on educational and organisational circumstances.

  • How many teachers are assigned to a class?

Each primary school class is taught and supported by a teacher and a teaching assistant. One is a native German speaker; the other is a native English speaker.

  • When does the admission process for Year 1 begin?

The admission process begins one year before the desired start date in September. We therefore recommend completing an Online Enquiry at an early stage. Our main entry point is Preschool (Vorschule) and only a handful of seats are available in Year 1 each year.

  • Can my child be admitted during the school year?

Mid-year entry is possible at any year level, provided places are available. If you are interested, please contact our Admissions Team directly.

Places occasionally become available in Years 2 to 4.  To apply for admission to Year 2, 3, or 4, please complete the Online Enquiry and you will receive further information.
