Additional selection criteria include:

Introductory Meeting and Play Morning

From complete applications received, selected families are invited to an introductory meeting with the kindergarten leadership (for parents) and a play morning experience in our classrooms (for children).

The meetings and play mornings take place in February/March. During the play morning children get to experience our environment by joining one of our preschool classes. Our educators lead groups in a variety of play-based activities in a supportive atmosphere. Particular attention is given to how each child responds to both of our target languages, how they demonstrate age-appropriate metacognitive abilities such as patience and persistence, their fine- and gross-motor abilities, and how they interact with educators and other children.

Approximately half of the children invited to a Play Morning will be offered admission.

Preschool

Offers of Admission

Admission offers will be sent a few weeks after all play mornings are complete.

Tuition Calculator
Crèche

In our crèche, tuition is based on daily hours in attendance.

Please select the daily childcare hours

Monthly tuition

The core hours in our crèche are from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm.

Kindergarten & Preschool

We want our educational programme to be accessible to as many children as possible. From kindergarten onwards, we are pleased to be able to offer income-based tuition. Tuition is always determined by the gross annual income of all legal guardians from two years prior. This means, for example, that for the 2026/27 school year, the positive gross annual income of the parents/guardians from 2024 will be used, along with hours in attendance, to determine tuition. Tuition is recalculated every year. With our tuition calculator, you can estimate your monthly fees.

The exact amount of your monthly tuition will be provided by the Admissions Team during the admissions process.

Supplementary Fees
for Crèche and Kindergarten

  • Administration Fee

A one-time administration fee of €1,750 is charged upon contract completion. This fee will not be charged again when moving on to kindergarten, primary school or secondary school at Phorms Munich.

  • Catering Fee

For meals, a monthly fee of €110 is charged in crèche and €116 in kindergarten and preschool. Meals include breakfast, lunch and snacks.

  • Materials Fee

At the beginning of the school year, a materials fee of €100 is payable.

  • Sibling Discount

All siblings (including the first child) in kindergarten and school receive a sibling discount of 15% of tuition. No sibling discount is granted in crèche.

  • Contribution Subsidy (Elternbeitragszuschuss)

The State of Bavaria grants families a subsidy of €100 per child per month during the kindergarten period. The subsidy is provided from the 1st of September of the calendar year in which the child turns three and continues until school enrolment. This subsidy, paid directly to Phorms, reduces the monthly tuition by €100.

  • Tax Deductibility

Tuition for crèche & kindergarten (including preschool) may be tax deductible as childcare costs. If both parents, or a single parent, are working, childcare expenses amounting to 80% of the total costs—up to a maximum of €4,800 per child—may be deducted as business expenses (Betriebsausgaben) or income-related expenses (Werbungskosten) when determining taxable income. This does not include expenses which are related to extracurricular activities, tuition for special skills, or for sport and other leisure activities.

Phorms Education assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided above. For any questions regarding this matter, please consult your tax advisor.
