International Mother Language Day

Date:
The primary students of Phorms Munich have been busy since celebrating UNESCO’s International Mother Language Day last Thursday, February 21st. With over 32 languages spoken across our Primary school, the students were excited to celebrate the diversity across our campus, and take part in a little friendly competition. Placed around the school building were flags representing various countries that represented our school population. On each flag was the word “hello” written in the language from each corresponding country. Over the last week, the students were able to record the word for hello and the language (country) it comes from on their provided entry forms. The students who had the most entries correct were crowned the winners and were presented with prizes of books about children from around the world in our whole school assembly. A big thank you to all the participants and helpers.
