Since 2019, Dr Manning-Benson has been the driving force behind the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) at Phorms School, building the programme into one of the largest DofE cohorts in Germany. Her commitment has brought about lasting, positive change across the entire school community.

These achievements were also celebrated at the awards ceremony on Tuesday evening, where our Silver and Gold graduates were honoured. We are especially proud of our first six Gold finishers, as well as a total of 32 Silver finishers. The awards were presented by Consul General Dr Mark Dittmer-Odell.

The impact of the programme extends far beyond the ceremony: as a result of the DofE’s positive development at our school, Dr Manning-Benson has been invited to write for E&L about the changes the programme has brought to our school community.
