Autumn break 2019

Datum:
Our autumn holiday programme started with making pizza. The kids really enjoyed putting the toppings on the dough - and especially eating it!

Afterwards we were strengthened enough to start our pumpkin carving. The children worked together in groups to carve a pumpkin. First they draw a draft of how the face should look like and let’s say there were some really scary jack-o-lanterns!

On Tuesday was art-and-crafts-day: we handcrafted mummies, ghost and spider decorations for our Halloween Party and did some paintings in the afternoon. We enjoyed working with colour and experimenting with different materials.
Wednesday was the big day of our Pre-Halloween Party. Little skeletons, witches, wizards and a lot of other spooky monsters joined our event. Before starting our actual celebration we baked Halloween cookies and prepped everything. In the afternoon all of us enjoyed the Halloween goodies, danced and watched the film "Hotel Transylvania".

To conclude our short week, we went to the theatre and saw "The Canterville Ghost" which turned out to be a funny play, that was well-received by the children.

Finishing off the day, we decided to make a camp fire to grill some s'mores - the perfect end to an exciting week.
