A visit to the Planetarium

The Yellow Group has been continuing their Space theme with a very exciting trip to the Planetarium.
It was a long trip out there, but it was worth it. The children saw a show on a special screen that covered the whole ceiling where Wolfgang, their tour guide, took them on a trip through the solar system. He was even able to take them all the way out to 4 of the dwarf planets in the Kuijper belt!

The group then took a trip through the Planetarium and learned how different items weigh on different planets, got to touch a real meteoroid, and talked about the different sizes and colors of stars. After their tour and lunch they had a workshop where they talked more about the moon and the different shapes that can be seen on the moon.

It was a very exciting day at the Planetarium, however, they were only able to see a very small part of it and highly recommend going back as a family, entry is free!
